Located in San José del Cabo on the outer rim of Baja California Sur, built by the skilled hands of local artisans, Mar Adentro forms part of the Mexican desert where physically and psychologically, water is our most precious natural resource. An architecture of sumptuous austerity boasts features that coexist harmoniously with nature. Designed on a human scale, this resort privileges two elements above all else: the horizon and the ocean.

For Los Cabos, it ́s an honor that Mar Adentro, designed by Miguel Angel Aragonés, has been selected as a part of the 2017 Surface Travel Awards Finalists that recognizes the year’s best spaces, products, and innovators in the worlds of travel and design.

Mar Adentro is created in human proportions, complemented by the Architecture’s harmony with the surrounding environment. “People want us to build them a happy home and to be honest, we as architects are far from achieving this. We can only aspire to create spaces that generate emotions and sensations of wellbeing. The rest is up to those who inhabit them.”

A place of sumptuous austerity, a seamlessly complete environment, protection in milieu, good food, and a sense of breadth. Architecture intended to start a conversation, spaces where one can listen to music. A temporary home with straightforward, discrete service.

The perception of space and the all-white architectural structure is transformed at will by the passage of sun and clouds, reconfiguring the welcoming expanses minutely and continuously each day through an architecture fully transformed by natural light and its whimsical moods.

It ́s real, Los Cabos is under a constant growing up to develop new world recognized resorts to offer all the travelers the best experience for their next visit. Be ready for new hotels in 2018.
